Adrenaline lovers can attain 60-miles-per-hour speeds on the descent. The total tour length covers nearly 9,000 feet of terrain during an hour-and-a-half experience, which includes a demo and training. Minors must be 10 years old, meet the height and weight requirements, and be accompanied by an adult.

Hit the Slopes at Ski Apache

Ski Apache offers a little of everything, from hiking, biking, and zip-lining (and much more!).

There are three hiking trails at Ski Apache, each providing more incredible views than the last. Mountain bike rentals and biking gear are also offered for exploring the area.

If you don’t mind nature viewing with a side of thrills, book a ride on the Apache Wind Rider ZipTour. The ziptour reaches over 8,900 feet in length, rises above 11,000 feet, and reaches speeds up to 60 miles per hour.

Or if you want to enjoy the views at a leisurely pace, take a scenic gondola ride. Gondola rides take riders up and down Sierra Blanca Peak, nearly 12,000 feet above sea level.

Bonito Valley Brewing will get in on the fun with a food truck in their lot, the perfect complement to their delicious brews. The Fourth of July Star Spangled Celebration fireworks display at The Inn of the Mountain Gods has been canceled. Our sympathies are with the Mescalero, Ruidoso, surrounding communities, and the vast amount of our Team Members impacted by wildfires and flash floods.

The Inn of the Mountain Gods and Casino Apache Travel Center is committed to assisting evacuees, firefighters, and emergency responders. We are housing the first responders and as many evacuees in the hotel and convention center as we can.

We have received large amounts of donations for the crews and our staff is working hard to provide great hospitality to the brave men and women working the front lines. We will get through this together!! Mescalero and Ruidoso Strong!!

Inn of the Mountain Gods has decided to reschedule the June 20?2 concerts due to ongoing wildfires in the Mescalero and Ruidoso areas. The safety and well-being of guests, staff, and the surrounding community remain top priorities. 

“We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause our guests, but our primary concern is the safety of everyone involved,?said Frizzell Frizzell Jr., Chief Operating Officer at Inn of the Mountain Gods. “We encourage our guests and the local community to exercise caution during this time and are committed to working closely with fire management teams to support our neighbors and provide shelter for those who may have been displaced by the fires.?br>
Inn of the Mountain Gods is still open and has set up temporary shelter in the convention center for those who have received evacuation orders. Donations are welcome and can be dropped off at the convention center. 

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this challenging time. We are committed to supporting our neighbors and providing assistance to those affected by the fires.

Smokey Bear Stampede

The Smokey Bear Stampede is one of the nation’s largest open rodeo weekends, with ranch rodeos, traditional rodeos, and goat roping every day of this event July 3 ?6. The festival will be brimming with patriotic festivities, including a parade starting at 10 am, rodeos every day, a beer garden, and a fireworks extravaganza on July 4th. Rodeo admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children ages 6-12.

This Independence Day celebration takes place right on the Inn of the Mountain Gods property. The excitement begins at noon with face painting, rock climbing, obstacle course slides, jumping balloons, and more! All of the fun culminates in the “biggest and longest fireworks show in New Mexico.?Pyrotechnics will light up the New Mexico sky above Lake Mescalero to close this 4th of July celebration. This family-friendly event is free to attend. Wristbands are available for $10 which grants access to jumping balloons and other activities.
